Len Vaile. Heir to his father's once great fortune, now being plundered in hard liquors and his mother's filthy fantasies.

He is my main character in a perfectly messed society that ~Alune and I have been developing for about a week or so by now.
He is extremely serious, hardly smiling unless it is to trick a young lady into believing that he has (and I quote) 'always loved you, although from a far distance, for I had not the courage to speak so openly to such a vision of perfection.'
He sleeps around and then tells the lady that the thrill is over, leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him.

His father's money is in terrible distress because he spend sit all on getting drunk and getting prostitutes. His mother sleeps around and actually got pregnant with Len off another man. But anyway, now Len's father says he has to marry the young lady of the Montue family, which is the 'new money' in town. Len is disgusted, knowing that Andrena Montue is a whore in her own ways, and that he would only be using her for her money.
At their engagement party, Len ends up slipping off to follow a mysterious young lady into a room, where he blows her mind with passion, and that lady ends up to be ~Alune 's character: Aithne.
And that is how he meets his love.

He keeps seeing Aithne is secret until the night of his wedding, when he acts extremely rash and steals the rest of his father's fortune, and then goes to find Aithne, taking her with him far far away, leaving Andrena at the alter.

But that is only the very very beginning of this story. ^_^
